The Non-Chapstick Way to Fix Dry Lips
Neon Fix
Hint: It’s in your kitchen cabinet
Chilly winter nights can feel cozy. Dry, chapped lips do not. Before you run out and spend a small fortune on lip balms and ointments and salves, stop. We found a much better way to soothe raw and weather-beaten lips.
What you need: A teabag (preferably green, but black works, too) and a cup of warm water
What you do: Dip the tea bag in the warm water until it’s saturated, and then press it against your chapped lips for three to five minutes.
Why this works better than lip balm: The tannins in the teabag will help soothe the dryness and repair damaged skin cells on the surface, reviving your pucker almost instantly. Really.
